Hello! You can call me Pam. I graduated from college in 2008 with certification in early childhood education (prek-3). After graduating, I worked for a year as a kindergarten assistant. The following year, I relocated to another elementary school, where I worked as an assistant teacher in a 4th-5th grade cross categorical special education classroom.
Four years ago, I began working on my Masters of Education in Teaching, Learning, and Advocacy in addition to receiving my elementary education certification (2-6). I am now certified to teach grades pre-K through 6th and finished my masters degree in May of 2012. I taught 2nd grade for 3 years at my current school. I have helped with writing curriculum and planning events at the district and school level. I am always looking for ways to grow as an educator. For the 2013-2014 school year, I have been moved to 1st grade to start a new teaching adventure!
I have two parents, a sister, and two dogs who mean a lot to me. I also have a boyfriend in the Coast Guard who recently moved across the country. My hobbies include writing stories, reading, blogging, hiking, photography, and attending Renaissance Faires. I love to travel and explore new places.
My goal as an educator is to see each child achieve his/her highest potential. I think a child's job of learning is never complete. There is always something that we can teach our children. They will one day be in control of our future, so it is important that we provide them with a solid foundation. All children can learn. All children should be encouraged to learn.
